Adverse Childhood Experiences

Adverse Childhood Experiences, also referred to as ACEs, are defined by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention as potentially traumatic events that occur during childhood from years 0-17. ACEs impact chronic health problems, mental illness, and substance misuse in adulthood. ACEs can also impact education and job opportunities.
